Somebody noted on letsrun that there are no threads there (on a site that is almost exclusively distance running) about the race at all. Clearly the cyber-audience just doesn't find the women's stuff as interesting as the men's.
Ha! After finishing 123rd out of 71 in the men's contest, I ain't going near that thang! Plus some dude had 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-10-9 or some such nonsense.
Here's the T&FN consensus picks. Join the contest and gloat if you beat us:
Deena Kastor
Colleen De Reuck
Blake Russell
Deeja Youngquist
Magdalena Lewy Boulet
Linda Somers Smith
Rachel Kinsman
Sara Wells
Sylvia Mosqueda
Jenny Spangler
I know that was supposed to help us in our picking, but you hve had the opposite effect on me. When you start giving out "consensus favorite" status to people I have never heard of I am clearly in over my head!

What about Jen Rhines? She kinda came in under the radar (according to Runner's World). She has superior 10k times to most everyone in the field. I think she'll make the team along with Kastor (Drossin) and De Reuck. That third spot is gonna be tough. Younquist had her Chicago breakthough and there might be some others.
I'm also pulling for Heather Tanner, who hails from here in Huntsville, AL. She has a 2:44 PR, but this being the race of her life, should do well.
The top 43 finishers are scored. A couple people did pick Hanscom. In fact, she provide the winning margin for akw. Dan's 3rd place finish (on the tie breaker) will get discard when we award prizes. So the top three will be:

I'm "GoJackets!" from the contest and in case you couldn't tell from my alias I'm a Georgia Tech alum. My 16th place pick that is the tie breaker? Fellow GT alum Beth Old. See, Tech's not just about basketball.
