I am new on here. Are there any famous athletes (past or present) who contribute on here?

Re: Famous athletes on this forum
I suppose that depends on your definition of "famous." I've certainly never seen Michael Johnson post on here, but I can think of at least one former nationally ranked athlete who has done some posting. I wasn't aware of who she was when she first posted, but then I did a Google search of her name and found out she was nationally ranked back in the 1970s."Run fast and keep turning left."

Unfortunately, very few "real" athletes, past or present, post on any site because in general sites are very hostile and you don't need to go far before you find somebody trashing you and why would you want to have to take that kind of shit?

Setting aside for a moment the fact that there are those who think Malmo should be categorized as a what rather than a who, he was the world's No. 6 ranked steeplechaser in 1977. But to his credit doesn't make a big deal about that or his status as former american recordholder in the event.

You can tell you are new to the US message boards Jon. A lot of people ask that question when they start on one of these boards and it has been asked here at least once already.
