    NBC to televise all rounds of OLY Track!!

    This was announced today:

    'NBC has announced today that all rounds of the track and field competition at the Olympics will be televised.'

    Spokesperson Ima Nidiot told the press:

    "In response to the overwhelming email campaign NBC has decided to show as much track and field as they can. There will be little or none of synchronized swimming, women's gymnastic or men's basketball. Our polls showed that the public cared little for those events, but wished they could see as much track as possible."

    I'm pretty surprised that gymnastics doesn't have much support. It's a legitimate Olympic sport that I enjoy watching, unlike those so-called team Olympic sports like baseball and basketball.

      When I was growing up my mother always said it was the rules that AFJ that was pulled after noon bounced back to the originator.

        I sure hope they hold true to their word! I still remember watching the 88 Olympics hoping to see what would have been an awesome high jump final. And, it was, but the only thing NBC showed was two jumps at 8 ft (2.44) by Avdeyenko. What was the winning height? (had no idea) Was there someone else jumping at 2.44 (had no clue). They didn't even show the results! I was thoroughly dissapointed and spent some serious money getting the Pay-Per-View version of the 92' Olympics and saw every single jump. That was cool! I forget the name of that service.
        If you're ever walking down the beach and you see a girl dressed in a bikini made out of seashells, and you pick her up and hold her to your ear, you can hear her scream.
