Can't help but think that Anderson will be towards the back of that race.

Have a lil faith, lol. There are 3 dominant names in this one, everyone else is pretty evenly matched at this point. Give the girl some slack, she has hardly competed all season and this is her first season outside collegiate she was probably taking it easy at the start of the season with nothing really to push her.

Its absolutely amazing, inspirational and admirable that a woman born 1971 remains competitive in 2010. In some families, that's a grandmother. Thumbs up.

I agree. Sturrup is doing well for herself. As I've said before though, I think she's been able to do so in part because she rarely has competition in her home country. I think it'd be tougher for her to see this long term success in America or Jamaica. I suspect, barring injury of course, KAB is on course for Sturrup/DFM-type longevity in the sport.

Re: Provisional Startlist for Lausanne (as of June 3rd)

First casualty of the Provisional Startlist is Bolt. The IAAF website is reporting that Bolt is switching from the 200m to the 100m in Lousanne as to avoid any possible injury. The 100m in Lousanne is a non-DL event at the meet and won't give any Diamond League points.

A preliminary startlist for the 100m was not included in the one the website posted.

I was hoping with him just coming back from injury, he would see the toughest challenge from any competitor in a while in Dix.

And yet she's still 11 years younger than the oldest competitor here :!: But good for her

BTW the entry lists are the best I've seen for a long time - not a single weak event
                        can't wait

The Will Sharman-worshippers on BBC's 606 messageboard would take issue with that!

Seriously though, this does look like an exciting race, and I agree, if Oliver was there, this could be very interesting....

Pity how Brathwaite hasn't really done much since the World Champs.
My heart is still in the Caribbean....

Dix with a 19.72 effort and a +1.8 wind. Yeah I can really understand that Bolt would be sh**ting bricks about him.!!
