Hilarious that Chambers is getting criticised for having the temerity to tell his own life story. Perhaps they should surgically castrate the tongues of dope fiends but leave them free to compete. That way the totalitarian drugs industry of chemists and testers would never have to acknowledge their zero-sum idiocy. I swear if a medicine that was 100% good for you and helped you live longer was pioneered and the only side effect was it made you run fast the maniacs and the zealots who need each other would go to war over it and Christ take mercy on anybody who speaks truth to power about their experience of the bigoted hysteria at the heart of their professional career because ordinary laws regarding free speech and personal freedom and in fact the entire criminal justice system are woefully insignificant next to the grandiose pomposity of the cardinals of ethical and moral guidance making their putrid and delirious human sacrifices at the alter of the almighty Sport. Seb Coe is going to sweep down from heaven any moment in his golden chariot and run the 800m in 1.40 just to show that heathen usurper what's what. What an utterly laughable set of fictions we must maintain. How can anybody keep a straight face.

Do you mean 2003-2006? I don't recall any poor Paula stories from the ninties, although that might well prove your point since I already lived in the US from 93.
Trust me--they began in that era and then continued all thru the 90s and into the 00s!
kuha is right. The poor Paula really started at Durham in 1995 at the WCCC when she fell apart after being with the leaders early in the race.

Any strong anti-doping/'you can't run in races' types is in absolutely NO position to claim telling his life story is a problem because that tactic PUSHED him into a position where he had to tell it to make ends meet; even complaining about the timing borders on idiotic given the situation (unless you want to pay him so that he does not need as much...).

Anyone care to guess just how many appearaces there have been by drug cheats in Euro Meetings competitions over the past few years? I was shocked to find out the number:

Is VCB being kept out? She is not on the London startlist. Stockholm?
                      Also, where is Ivory?

We are all well aware that the Promoters of the DL can do more or less what they wish as far as invitations are concerned but I would love to know from these posturing gents what the reason is for their hypocritical inconsistency and lack of moral justification.

It is sometimes alleged that UKA put on the pressure to make an example of DC,pour encourager les autres, but it just stinks that there have so many cheats invited to the GP/GL/DL meets, as Jons list.. Are these DL promoters really that much better in the ethical stakes.???

72 - could not agree with you more. There is no consistency in anything just look at the past dopers who are invited or not invited. Champbes is the doormat for the organizers, I am also looking at how 800m mens is running with no rudisha - kaki match ups. Felix is winning the diamond league 200m by default as VCB is being kept out is seems, would love to hear from someone on the inside about this. As a NewYorker the best race so far is that 200m we saw on randalls island yet we cannot get a repeat.
