Well, Alminova -v- Bekele -v- Dobriskey -v- Rodriguez is still quite a tasty line up. Let's not forget Rodriguez beat Dobriskey to the line in Berlin in spite of being disqualified.

Can you believe that so far the top ranked Russian female 1500m runner only has a 4.07.69 in mid July !!

Of course this will no doubt change by the end of their national champs, but it does make me feel more confident that we won't hear of the large numbers of Russian drug cheats after the Euro's like we did in Gothernburg...

I'm with you regarding those reponsible for the shooting. Not sure it's her fault, however; I'd be rather tempted to believe she was the victim. Do you think she had any say over what atrocious make-up they had her wear? And by god yes, I've never seen any prettier lady made any uglier for a shooting....

I think she still looks pretty damn sexy, but apparently Speed, the magazine for which the first 7 photos were made (imageshack unfortunately kicked one of the best), is merely a Russian tabloid magazine and the whole affair looks like a rush job. She would be better off if she wait for a first athletic success at senior level and then do a really fine shooting with Playboy instead of wasting herself on cheap shoots like that.
However she's an absolute stunner at the Tiedtke/Schielke/Kournikova level and with proper managment and the ability to knock the 7m she could rise to high popularity in athletics.
