Another Lolo Jones moment... Cross seems like he would have won if he didn't hit that last hurdle so bad.

Not won, but medalled probably (and wasn't it hurdle 9 he hit?)

Re: World Junior Championships - Sunday

I think the penultimate hurdle threw him off balance and he couldn't recover in time for the last.

A great great women's 1500m race, with Mageean running a brilliantly judged race to take Ireland's 2nd ever WJ medal (last one: Men's HJ in '94).

McCullough won with 80.79m in Rd 2. Opened with 77.xx (he was the first to throw), and this was immediately bettered by the world leader, Hudi, with 78.37m. McCullough followed up with 80.x and 80.69m in rd 5, so it was a brilliant competition for him. Oh what might have been...

Roesler appeared to kill the 3rd leg on the 4x400. Wonder what her split was? She was down maybe 10m on the backstretch.

Relay sweep for the US. Good way to close up the championship for them.

I guess I missed it somehow, but I thought Hasay's 4:13.95 was a PB. I suppose this websites lists may be out of date, but I thought her PB was 4:14.xx.
