Re: Texas Relays Results
A nickname I've had since I was 13 or so. Self imposed, it is a mixture of my middle name (Denton) and my vain attempts to mimic Frankie Crocker

Re: Texas Relays Results
Jerrika Chapple's times are no surprise to me
remember this
Official Results - 400 METRES - Women - Final
Saturday, July 14, 2001 - 18:50
Pos Lane Bib Athlete Country Mark
1 3 1593 Smith Stephanie USA 52.19 (CR)
2 5 1576 Chapple Jerrika USA 52.80 (SB)
3 8 1312 McLaughlin Anneisha JAM 53.35
4 4 1340 Tereshkova Olga KAZ 53.82
5 6 1289 Cuddihy Joanne IRL 53.86 (PB)
6 1 1468 Dryakhlova Maria RUS 54.52
7 7 1434 Ciurila Ioana ROM 54.62
8 2 1086 Yu Mei CHN 55.30
Granted McLaughlin has languished, not running any faster than the 52.31 she did that year at age 15. I think Smith is in college too.
edit, yes, Stephanie Smith is a frosh at S. Carolina, teammate of Lashinda Demus and has done 51.96 already. I am thinking that USA has a very good crop of women 400m runners coming up. Richards, Demus, Henderson, Smith, Chapple, et al.

Ah, auto time. My first clue was when my high school rival was listed as #1 on our local leader list after he recorded a 4.15,3 against my 4.15,32. The 0 was added to his time, because everything was being reported as FAT. His time was inferior to mine, but, as life is just that way, he was given credit for the fastest in our area that season. Oh well.

Nice if we can utilize one centralized split reporting resource. Baylor states - and Trackshark posted - Wariner split 43,80 on his leg. I am more apt to "trust" TFN and their 44,3.
http://baylorbears.ocsn.com/sports/c-tr ... 04aaa.html
"April 3, 2004
"AUSTIN, Texas - Baylor sophomore Jeremy Wariner (Grand Prairie, Texas) ran a 43.80 split on the third leg to hand the baton off to junior Darold Williamson (San Antonio, Texas) with the lead as the 4x400-meter relay team clocked a 3:01.06, the fastest time in the world this year ..."

I didn't say anything about when they would be posted - merely explained why they weren't posted as they happened!

Tight schedule? C'mon gm, it's a day later and they're still not there. (And if you tell us that once they're posted on that site, they can't be updated, I'll tell you to tell the Texas folks to get another program.)
