Vlasic has this one sewn up. Howard-Lowe could only manage 1.85m - the same as Britain's Steph Pywell. :shock: Maybe Lowe doesn't like the rain?

She has had a terrific year. But it has been a long season and it does not get easier in a rain meet with her sprint based, extremely powerful run.

Another thing is that her technique leaves zero margin for error. Vlasic, for instance, gets into her max-arch position much earlier in the jump and holds it longer. Lowe only manages to raise her hips at the last possible moment.

Damn. I was hoping she'd be fit for the Continental Cup to pull off the LJ/HJ double. Any idea which Americans will be taking her place in those events?
