I vault with Bryan sometimes, he's actually been doing very well recently, moving up poles and working a lot on his technique. I was at a meet with him a few weeks ago where he jumped 5.05, a big PR for him. I think he has a lot of room to improve here, too, he could jump 5.20 this season and 5.30 is not out of reach for him.

Re: How fast is Bryan CLAY ?...
If he turns into a sub-10.20 guy then he also turns into a sub-8000 guy I suspect. He's got more to gain by bulking up a bit for the the throws than in getting faster in the 100.

Re: How fast is Bryan CLAY ?...
Don't know if he can go sub 10.20, but he is plenty fast enough for the deca. He is also suprisingly good at the throws for a small guy. He won't get rich in the HJ. His Achilles heel is the PV. With his speed and strength, he should be much better. He just dosen't have much technique at all. A little coaching there could lead to really big scores.

How fast is Bryan CLAY ?...
His good 6"70(60m) this last Winter prove that
this world-class decathlete is also a talented
sprinter.
Can we consider he is as fast as Dan O'BRIEN
or Chris HUFFINS were at their best?...
Do you think he is potentially capable of setting
a regular sub-10"20 100m in a good day?
I think so.Tags: None
