With 14 sub-2:08 men and 19 sub-2:28 women, this is one of the highest quality Boston fields I can remember. Mutai v Cheruiyot v Hall v Feleke v Gebremariam in the men's race (plus debuts from Mosop and Cragg), Erkesso v Bogomolova v Kosgei v Tune v Kidane (plus debut from Florence Kiplagat).

this is going to be a great race, superb fields, boston definetely has a deeper elite field than london in the mens race this year, so much for the letsrun.com rumors boston would have very watered down fields so hall and k. goucher would win, if hall or goucher win this it will be the marathon highlight of the year if not decade for USA marathoners, they have a extremely tough task to win this.
