Re: Husky Indoor [curves an issue?]
NCAA rules are 2m, IAAF is now 1.5m. The new total of 65xx was obtained at the Tallinn track which does not seem to meet the IAAF requirements, since the cones are clearly at a spacing greater than 1.5 meters. Of course, he is not running particularly close to the line and in any event a few 100s would not matter in anything but a couple of points, so it is a technicality only. [I do not know what standards the Fayetteville track meets; if it is only the 2.0m and not the 1.5m, then technically he could get approval for the NCAA record and be denied the WR on a technicality. Of course, revoking a record on such a minor issue is highly unlikely.
However, this thread seemed to be a complaint about the UW track and the only evidence that we have that there is a violation is the Tallinn track a WR was set (and assuming that my assumptions about the track measurement are correct).
