    Hey Mario
Track and Field news has a lot of good books in their library as does Amazon. Also there are a lot of good web sites that offer drills. Just search for what your kid is interested in and see what you can find. I coach high school athletics and I have an 11 year old who likes sprints and jumps. What I have done with him is make sure he runs correctly. He comes to my high school training sessions and does a fraction of what they do, maybe 1/3. He does flying 30m, 2 sets of three one day each week and might run a few (2 or 3) 150's an another day. He also does some stairs and drills. He has won our regional 100m three years running here in New Zealand but only trains hard for the month before that meet. Just make sure your child enjoys it. Nobody cares or remembers how good a kid is at ten. We want 20 year olds who have a love for the sport and if we're really lucky, a college scholarship.

Instructional T&F books for working with kids

    Hello,

Just had my 10 year old start track & field with the local PAL. Is there is a good instructional book that has drills and games that would help me work with him?

    Thanks.

    Mario
