    Re: The Michigan Enclave

Warhurst has had non-collegiates training with his team for a long time. When I was in grad school there, there were at least half a dozen of us running with the team. I remember in one indoor workout noticing that only 2 athletes were from UM and 5 of us were unaffiliated including Bryan Diemer, Dan Heikkenen, Sam Bair and myself. I think those athletes help lift Michigan's collegiate runners and gives them some wisdom that other schools miss out on.

    The Michigan Enclave

The writer got the workout a bit screwed up but at least he has the names spelled right:

"In addition to Broe and Sullivan, Warhurst's training group of elite runners includes Michigan junior Nate Brannen and sophomore Nick Willis. Brannen and Willis are prospective Olympians -- Brannen for Canada, Willis for New Zealand. Broe is the U.S. outdoor 5,000-meter champion."
