With that large a field, I'm surprised 17 finished! Sub-4 was lost on the 2nd lap, but who cares?

Running up the bunhuggers of a 1500m. specialist in this race (and walloping a couple of others as well), Flanagan priming for something awesome in the longer distance at the Worlds--??!!
.
and hopefully an american record for 5000 on friday in stockholm, i predicted she would get it her last 2 races, hopefully the 3rd time is the charm, i think she can get it by a huge margin around 10 seconds, go flanagan.

Well, Langat was number 1 last year while not breaking 4:00 (missing by very little), it is interesting to see how well Uceny has done without hitting the 'high quality' marks with a best the year barely under 4:04. Of course, she has avoided the marks snobs barbs because she won the 1500 that went out really fast...

My guess is that she is capable of running sub-4 but that it is not particularly high on her list of objectives.
