I hope Veronica wins the 100, though I'mm more confident Jeter will. Shelly? BRONZE. <-- If that, Baptiste might nab bronze.

Could it be that Shelly Ann as it is, is now in great Jeter, Baptiste and Campbell beating shape?
Could it be that ShellyAnn having proven to herself that her umph is there was advised to lock it down thereafter by Franno?
Would it come as a surprise to any if Shelly Ann ends up winning in daegu.

    I'm just asking...
I think these are valid questions which I feel may just be a good assessment of what went on

we have become so spoiled in that each time an athlete runs we expect them to produce...

Shelly has shown in previous years that performance on the circuit prior to a major isn't necessarily a true indicator of one's readiness.

    just saying...

The problem is that this 'explanation' does not fit the facts any better than that she is having a mediocre (for her) year (after starting off with promise); oh, where did I leave that razor....

Exactly...and if one watched the race, KAB and SAF-P got a better start that CJ...she had to go get them...and she did...

I think this was a DL event as CJ has 14 points. As far as i can see CJ has 3 weeks to
    train/rest

If they do run will they be at a disadvantage because of being tired?
The local news said that Kelly-Ann is running next weekend... The link is now on the home page... Not sure about Thompson or Bledman, or whether they have to compete in the champs to make the team..I'm also not sure who's doubling, but there are no semi's, which helps a little since there are only 2 total rounds... The 100 prelims and final are on day one while the 200 prelims and final are on day 2. (assuming the new track is ready...)

Either Fraser or VC is good for me. Jeter have bronze written all over her face
Given how much ground Fraser gave up over the last 60 meters (0.30 or so), she is in danger of not making the final if she has a bobble with the start, and she has had a start issue this year if I recall correctly. I do not think it is going to happen, but unless she is quite improved rather than dropping off of this effort she will not be a factor.

I have to laugh at all the excuse-making going on. Jeter has proven herself THIS YEAR to be the favorite. I'm not saying she will win in Daegu (upsets happen all the time), but she has earned the title of favorite this season and you HAVE to give her props for that.

To be fair to Jeter what more, can she do to announce more loudly that she is currently the favourite and best for this season (and coing off last season) going into daegu? (and I am a SAF and VCB fan)
