    We've been talking about this for a while now, but ESPN just found out:

    And it's in their front-page headlines, so I imagine in 3 weeks this will be the ONLY story we hear about from the major US media outlets.

    Yes, this is the Brave New World of media excitement. Until the very last two paragraphs, only two names were mentioned--both notable only (really, when you come right down to it) for controversy. You die-hards just don't get it. Nobody actually cares who can run the fastest or jump the farthest. The ONLY thing that matters is "controversy." In a mile race between Charles Manson, Casey Anthony, Bernie Madoff, and Monica Lewinsky, I wonder who would win? And how hard would it be to find it broadcast live in prime time?
