First, sorry for the repeat on the first message--forgot to sign in properly. At any rate, NCAA, Austin, 1974 I believe. During the warmup's of the shot, an official gets blasted by Killer Scott. Shot hits the guy right in the face. I mean, this was really bad. After perhaps 15 minutes, the medical folks get the guy on a stretcher and start to remove him from the stadium. Mal, feigning astonishment, blurts out in the press box, "aren't they even going to measure it?" There were many groans on that one, even from the folks who knew Mal quite well. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed.
