There's no way that archery is harder than curling!

      Some pretty "interesting" ratings!

According to these "experts" american football requires more strength than the throwing events, and more agility than the pole-vault.

Also, apparently Badmitton is a tougher sport than all track events except for the pole vault.

I'd be willing to bet good money that none of these judges have participated in track and field, or watched a high-level track & field competition.

What a crock! High jumping is tougher than triple jumping, and long jumping and triple jumping are combined into a single category. Tennis is more difficult than gymnastics, uh-huh. I'm a journeyman tennis player, guess I could have been a national class gymnast, if I had only realized how easy it is! Still it HAS finally been revealed that the throws are the easiest event in track and field and that the horizontal jumps are the most difficult. Lots of us have known that intuitively for decades :-D

Dumb, like most of these lists. Bloodsport always wins out in our advanced culture.

Example: "Equestrian" ranks 54/60. Those idiots who've made up this list have obviously never attempted to coerce a 1500 pound beast over jumps or through a cross country course in the 3 day event. Equestrian sports can easily get one killed or crippled. Just because most of the competitors are women has nothing to do with courage or skill.

i'm glad to see wrestling high on the list, but i think it probably should be higher, maybe even no. 1. sure, boxing is tough, but all it requires is throwing punches and blocking punches. there are hundreds of wrestling moves to execute and defend. i definitely think they rank the team sports much higher than they deserve to be.

I once read a similar survey of college coaches. Wrestling was #1 because of the conditioning, strength, and weight control required. Swimming was #2 because of the boredom factor and long distance running was #3.

double dutch should be higher: speed-stamina-coordination
