An amazing time from Blake then. Too bad the rest of the field couldnt use the good condition to run a nice time.

Asafa cooled down completely 15 meter from finish after he saw he couldnt win. He wasnt interested in 9,89 or so.

            Blake owned the field.

Blake has "bad luck"almost always when he run very well headwind and today 0 wind.
Today with medium wind +1.0 he get around 9.77

I think he's happy just to kick Asafa's ass in his first race since being crowned champion!

The Norwegian of course he is happy, great time and defeating to Powell, but with a little positive wind he get sub 9.8 today, and only the 3 big men made it several times ops:

Blake stock has gone thru the roof. I'm afraid Powell's is gonna go down. I sense this is the passing of the baton to Blake as the number 2 sprinter in Jamaica. I think Blake will get the better of Tyson Gay next yr also when he gets back to form. He has a better start than Tyson and finishes just as quick as Tyson. Therefore, Powell moves down to number 4. New big 3 is Bolt, Blake, and Gay. Or new big 4 is Bolt, Blake, Gay and Powell. If everyman is fit next yr., the olympic 100m will be the fastest in history!!! I hope is happens.

                        1) Blake 9.82
                        2) Powell 9.95
                        3) Dix 10.04
                        4) Frater 10.06
                        5) Collins 10.09
                        6) Carter 10.12

Well, Blake has handled his first test as world champion very well indeed....

He handled Powell, one of the Big Three, in this meet, so it remains to be seen how he handles Bolt and Gay next season.

Blake is certainly a notch up on Carter right now, no question about that....

Blake's 9.82 gives him the all-time world under 21 best that he had previously been .01

I liked that Wayne Rooney-style celebration Yohan Blake gave at the end of his race....
