At least you have the sense to realize when the lying, cheating, and coverup don't work

Cruise was paid for by the booster to the tune of $3350. Any benefits not also available to the general student body are illegal(Bylaw 16.01.1, 16.01.3).
The difference between student athletes and the "general student" is that student athletes tend to work harder to handle both academic and athletic responsibilities, and that they have achieved more in their lives (athletic scholarship is harder to get than just getting into the school). Accordingly, I'd consider those student athletes more deserving than the general student body.

Yes, I know the rule exists, and yes, you just need to accept it and comply with it, but still, anybody agree with me that this rule is based upon hypocrisy?

What I recall was that there were dozens of instances of athletes getting special deals )half-price rent?)( it was not just about the one cruise, but about a pattern including many cases.
