    Re: Friday Jamaica Results

100W Jones got a good start and ran strongly to win comfortably in 11.04 ahead of Aleen Bailey who got her customary poor start. Tayna Layrence ran 11.29 and looks to be on the mend.

100M Patton got a terrible start but displayed great top speed to pass Capel close to home in 10.12. Monty was nondescript. Patton will make the US team in the 100 and 200 if he stays healthy, and can get a decent start in the 100.

400W Sandie Richards was out fastest but found nothing down the stretch. Jearl ran a controlled race to win fairly comfortably.

400M Davian Clarke won easily. Felix ran with the thing on his arm and finished fourth. Felix later had his shirt torn off by fan(atics) in the bleachers.

Seneca Lassiter looked reasonably good although not finding too much off around 2:57 1200 pace.

Mutola won easily controlling the race at even pace.

Stringfellow had a monster (for us in Ja. anyway) foul that looked well over 8m. Best legal jump was 7.81 He was playing to the crowd who ate it up.

Meet lacked a bit in the excitement department, likely due to the absence of the Bolt factor. The 200M was the last race and Miller came through strongly on the inside to take it in 20.52

Devers looked good in winning the hurdles.
Bramlett used a Colin Jackson like lean to win the 110H over Chris Pinnock who didn't lean at all.

The meet also lacked in the information department as it wasn't too easy to follow the few field events that were contested. Boswell won the High over Hemingway and Leeper. Marion jumped at least 6.30, but I don't know the full result though.
