Re: Webb Update (2 x 2) at James Madison
He lost to two good athletes from a great program (Lukezic and O:Connell were half of the 4x800m team that won Penn Championships of America in 7.13.75). In transitional phase between over distance and under distance. He knows where his racing needs improvement, and I am sure he and Scott will work out the details as time ticks a little closer to Pre, and ultimately further down the road to USATF. Isn:t next race the Home Depot meet?
Update: Webb went out 2nd-to-last in a fast 800m (51 at the quarter), but couldn:t move up on O:Connell. Good for his psyche was passing everyone but one, though 1.49 wasn:t a PR (in same shape as McMullen?). One hour later, lined up for the 1,500m. Led from 800m on out in the before relinquishing the lead and finishing 2nd to Lukezic.

Re: Webb Update (2 x 2) at James Madison
Solid if unspectacular times. Workout or race? Both. Test the waters at the shorter distances. He's probably now starting to get the legs turning over a bit faster in practices and this time trial type race will help. Trials still a couple months off. Not a bad effort. I'm very glad to see him drop back to the 800.
Plan still seems like they are looking back to the '01 template - but he is stronger now than then. And, now that they are getting back to the 8s hopefully he will soon be faster as well.
13:45/1:49 in early May looks good to me.
