  • Stevenson: 6 meters

I realize this is a sleepy time of the season, but the lack of Modesto results is more like a coma. I hear Toby Stevenson cleared 6 meters.

I'll add this to our results links since Modesto isn't coming up with results yet.

They finally got the results up on the site. In the local rags, not much. San Jose mercury, nada. in the the SF Chron, a story (all Stevenson, with a couple inches on NorCAl JC) and no sums. Where is the Register Guard when I need it.

No problemo. I was searching for my sister:s community college team results (coaches mid-distance), and didn:t realize they ran the NorCal Finals in conjunction with Modesto...

Great video! Look who knocks him down in the pit afterwards :-)

We just got a Letter To The Editor suggesting that this should get credit as a new WR, given that it was made w/ the new smaller pegs.

Like the IAAF will buy that. The operative request is the one to go back to the old pegs, the square bar and call the volzing rules whenever the bar is actually replaced after it's knocked off. That will be obvious enough to call. Anything less is just a 'good on ya, mate' for having the circumspection to keep the bar from falling.

It is a new safety helmet pole vault world record.

There are plenty of people in the pole vault community that have been keeping track of short peg world records.
