  • Rupp and Lagat "trading records"-has this ever happened b4?

On Saturday, Bernard Lagat broke Galen Rupp's AIR in the 5000 the same day Galen Rupp broke Bernard Lagat's AIR in the 2 mile.

Has anything like that ever happened before?

rule of thumb: everything has happened before. Having said that, this sounds like a pretty good candidate for unique.

Or a day when three Kenyans broke three American Records? (Yes, technically I know it was the College 5k record Lalang broke, but it was Rupp's record. Close enough for government work.)
