I can only assume there was a hellacious headwind . . . all the way around the track.

              Re: Pre DL-400m:

Wariner has been at an elite elevel and relevant for almost 10 years.

In the 400m thats difficult to do.

Absolutely, but that is far different than saying he is going to be in the top two or three again. He seems to be done - the excuses seem to continue to come. The facts are the facts - as of now and since the last couple years he does not have it. If he is running like this at trials he may not even make it.

AFTER believing he'd finished 2nd to Merritt, James then learned he'd been dq'd?

No excuses here; I was just thinking out loud. I'm a fan of Wariner's but certainly a bigger fan of Merritt's.

I did not mean you in particular - just generally by some here. I am fan of both but I am disappointed for JW - I want him to be in the top two again.

This is an olympic year, it would not surprise if some barely known NCAAer steals the show.

I said it a few weeks ago, but I really wouldn't bet on Wariner waking the team at trials.

Ok, yes, I too would enjoy seeing him on the medal stand again.
