  • Where have all our milers gone?

The top US milers all bombed this weekend at Pre. Wheating, Manzano, Centrowitz. Do we now wait for Robby to emerge as the new king?

a lot of the us milers competed in the "international mile" race last night which was about 5 secs slower than the borrowman mile.

Where Centrowitz was 8th! Russell Brown will not be in the mix.

Well, they were just smoked by a 10000m guy (Rupp) a few weeks ago. So what else do you expect?

David Torrence looks like the top (American) guy right now. He ran 3:52 at Bowerman, also has the A standard at 800 and 5k.
Jeff See is developing consistency at 3:55, and should be a factor.
If the Trials is tactical, Robby Andrews should take it.

Even Nick Willis didn't show much, as he spent the first 3 laps jogging along in last place?

I have to agree! I've been hoping all Spring that Allen Webb has been lying in the weeds, and aiming his training towards a peak in August. I'd hoped that we'd see a decent performance from this weekend (not necessarily a first place finish, but one that would meet the A qualifying level).
Not only did he not compete in the Bowerman Mile, but he ran a lackluster time in the B mile.
