              Re: NCAA w100—Gardner or Duncan?

The wind just switched and now the women have a head wind compared to the men's tail wind

              Edit
Never mind just switched back. I could only imagine that Duncan's 11.11 would have been close to if not another sub 11 without the headwind.

KD's heat 11.11 ...wind was -1.2....OK all you track and field PHDs...what does that convert to?

                  just checked, its 11.02
She looks like the clear favorite considering all the other heats ran with tailwinds.

Duncan "looked" way better to me (but then, I never personally saw Gardner as No. 1 seed to begin with)

The stats would say Duncan -- big gap over second, while the other heats had to run hard for first.

The gap to second shows the wind effects across heats.

If Duncan's 11.11 converts to 11.02 with the -1.2 headwind, what does Gardner's 11.10 convert to with her +1.8 tailwind??

so the action should be nicely easy to follow in the middle of the track
