Re: Predicted Winning Marks for US Trials

If there are 3-4 guys who feel that they could finish fast enough but know they have to hit 3:35.4 or better, they could arrange to 'self-rabbit' the race.

There are 9 below 3:37 and another 6 in the 3:37s that are declared. That makes 15 reasonable athletes and several will make the final (of 12?). It is possible that you will get them in a heat even, although not too likely.

1st day results are in.......and I was a mere 22 feet 10 inches total off my HT predictions!!
(10 ft 6 in on the men, 12 feet 4 inches on the women)

The Earth has a circumference of about 24,000 miles!!

        So.....EH!!....what's a mere 22 feet 10 inches?? ops:

            I think I should retire as a would-be-Nostradamus!!!
Boy, have my predictions SUCKED so far!!! ops:

But maybe one of my WORST.......
            gave the BEST result!!!

I predicted an 8850 score for the winner of the Decathlon.
And was criticized for being too optimistic!!

            HA!!!

(Thanks, Mr Eaton, for sending me to the unemployment line!!! )

Do they honestly think that running a bit faster for 4.5 minutes now will have a negative effect on their form in 1.5 months?
