  • Ashton Eaton - press coverage

I emailed, texted and tweeted Colin Cowherd and Dan Patrick this morning asking them to mention Ashton Eaton's WR and start a debate about whether he is the best athlete in the world. I figure this might be a good topic for the big outlets (while basketball, hockey and football are out of season) and will bring some attention to the Olympic Trials! Here's text for Cowherd: 73776

    tweet: @dpshow, @andrewperloff (Danette), @theherd

Re: Ashton Eaton - press coverage

I was listening to Dan Patrick this morning and they were discussing the weekend's best and worst. They could hardly come up with any "bests" and stated it was not a good weekend for sports. Yet the worst? The Felix v. Tarboh controversy.

They can mention that yet not mention anything concerning the magnificent accomplishment of Eaton!!

    Sigh

Ashton is endearing himself even more (is that possible?) to the local populace by showing up at a supermarket and then the Fan Festival to sign autographs, take pictures and generally just hang with his hosts of fans!!!

One of our local radio guys spent a half hour bragging on Eaton yesterday.
