Re: What about White ?
And what happens when TFN "recasts" all these rankings? Do all the athletes who lost the bonus money that Nike and the other shoe companies pay out relative to the TFN rankings then go after the people like White who appeared ahead of them and shouldn't have? Talk about cans of worms! Oh yes, that's another thread.

Re: What about White ?
Am I alone in respecting how forthright Kelly has become. In this day and age where soooo many people are being accused, it's nice to finally hear an athlete 'fess up. Even if it is almost a year after the fact.
Truth be told. If I could've taken something and thought it wasn't illegal AND that would've made me world champion...I would've done it. No doubt in my mind.

INDIANAPOLIS – USA Track & Field on Wednesday named Torri Edwards the 2003 USA outdoor champion in the women’s 100 and 200 meters. She joins Bershawn Jackson in the men’s 400-meter hurdles, John Godina in the men’s shot put and Anna Mahon in the women’s hammer throw as newly named winners at the 2003 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

BcBaroo--
The words used by Kelli White in her post-suspension talk are the right ones, no doubt.
And she was contrite, which isimportant.
This will help set the tone.
However, the idea of taking a performance enhancer and justifying it is a non starter as far I am concerned.
I have never understood the point of cheating in sport. Where is the self satisfaction in winning that way?"Who's Kidding Who?"

Re: What about White ?
I'm taking her contriteness with a pinch of salt. Since she's also going to be a Federal witness I assume she perjured herself before the Grand Jury and was forced to make a deal to avoid qualifying for our "slammer team".

My guess is you'd likely be alone. What is this whole idea of "respecting" someone who cheated, lied (and essentially stole from deserving athletes) and then decided to tell the truth when when presented with undenial facts? What about the respect all the clean athletes deserve? That's even worse than praising someone for losing weight when there are others who were smart enough never to have gained that poundage in the first place.

Re: What about White ?
When I found out that USADA even had documentation of instructions for White's doping levels and schedule, I just had to shake my head.
My guess is that she knew that her goose was cooked. Next comes contrition and sorrow.
The eternal song of the indisputably guilty.
