It's not a slam dunk like it was 4 years ago, but she doesn't need to be 100% to win. She may bomb out and do nothing, but if I was betting on the outcome, I would pick her for a medal.

Having said that, I would love to see Jenn Suhr win
She clearly is the most likely winner, even if she has a good chance to not win (and possibly place low (or NH) because of her strategy and her objectives -- anything less than first is a loss.

Thank you very much - those are great!
Don't have time for comments, since I'm still working on my predictions (I need to predict top-5 for Ely's contest)

Was surprised to see Rupp ahead of 3 Kenyans and 2 Ethiopians.

Goodwin (USA LJ) is going to outperform the T&FN predictions .

Despite her good score this year I would be surprised if Savitskaya came fourth in the heptathlon. As with the Daegu predictions, no Schwarzkopf in the top ten from TFN but I think she can challenge for a top 6 placing.

Women's HT looks like you just took the world list for the season, without using any real knowledge of the event. Menkova first? OK, I know she's the defending champ, but still... W?odarczyk sixth, behind Khanafeyeva?

My personal choice for the hammer win is Heidler, of course, being undefeated as she is, and knowing that the Belarusians rarely match their gaudy at-home throws.

Heidler didn't make the final at the Euros (x, x, 65.06m).

While I don't want to see it, I'd go for Lysenko. As for Menkova. Well, who knows?

Given Menkova's past record, she is potentially capable of winning, but it's more likely she'll go out in qualifying.
Heidler's had some problems with her technique of late and isn't looking as reliable as in past years, so yeah, I'd go for Lysenko, too.

Unless, of course, the Belarusian already proved she can by winning the Olympics last time.
Menkova may not win, but since she is the defending champion and leads the world this year, it makes zero sense for her NOT to be the favorite*.

                              * which, of course, she is

Hmmm, Dani Samuels not in Top 10 for WDT (despite having a Diamond League win this season). Last time TFN left her off a prediction list she won a world title... #justsaying
