Great! Thanks for running the contest Marlow et al. BTW I blame all of you for me not winning. I was going to choose Lashmanova over Kaniskina in the 20km walk but nobody else was so I reverted back to Kaniskina. All your fault.

I wasn't anywhere near winning....or medaling....in this contest.
And not to worry, nevetsttim, I made an even worse faux pas than yours in the walk.
I predicted Jamaica would win the Women's 4X100R......with USA second!!
Not only that, but I predicted the winning mark would be 41.56!! ops:
Darn - never saw this thread during the Games. A well, wouldn't have scored - only had 25 winners. 28 awesome score, BTW, exactly the same as a handful of people in the 386 member www.atletiektoto.nl prediction contest.
BTW shout-out to a real expert: Fernando Fanin from Italy exactly had 10 out of 47 podiums exactly right! Plus another 24 medals. Pretty impressive
One question: was it easy to predict many winners this year?
I've browsed thru the old results of atletiektoto.nl and only cound find one result with 29 predicted winners (2007)
So, now I went thru 4 (!) contest threads - maybe we manage it creating one thread next year
This year there were 28 favourites that won accordingly to the prices from the bettingindustry.
Some of them just slight favs like Ukhov marginally before Williams fex. Don“t know how many favs that usually wins but 61.7% sounds like a lot.
Yes, I'm with you dvorakfan, we need to do a better job of managing the contests next year. It drove me crazy trying to figure out what I should post where. And I entered one of the contests two hours late! (had remembered the deadline as start of the men's shot put rather than two hours earlier)
Thoughts on how we can better organize ourselves would be welcome - might as well get started while it's fresh in our minds and before we're up against a deadline.
Thanks again to Ronald at atletiektoto.nl for doing such a superb job of managing his contest.
It was so much fun to have the daily updates at our fingertips, and friends and family greatly enjoyed following it online.
