My main home computer picked a bad day to die. Not like there is a good day to die. Thankfully I have my work computer at home. But the network side of it was acting up all day. Finally got a good stream going and didn't click on anything until things were done. Now I need a new home computer.

After dozens of criticisms for its coverage of the London Olympics, NBC has decided to stream live the Olympic closing ceremony. It did not stream opening ceremony live. Television coverage of the closing ceremony however will be on a tape delay basis.

I had Adblock installed and thus, no ads for today.
Anyone else concerned about all the information harvesting Adblock does?

Coke, Head and Shoulders, ATT and Chevy interrupted so many events at the wrong time I have vowed never to use their products again :x ...
Did anyone else's Main Screen freeze just as they got in the blocks for the M 4x1? Fortunately, was on the little screen on the right so I saw it in miniature.

              I had buffering during men's 100m final and men's 4x100m final.

When I read the terms and did some research it noted that Adblock collects your browsing information for their use.

I don't know what Adblock is but than may explain why my firewalled, previously spam/ad free computer is deluged with spam since I started watching the Olympics.

I had absolutely no problem using nbcolympics streaming during the mens 100m and the mens 4 x 100m. Your problems may be ISP related.

So it's something odd on my end... glad to read it. I hope we have access to same level of coverage next summer in Moscow. As a throwing coach watching hundreds of qualifying and finals throws was educational.

For me, Adblock is no different from a third party popblock blocker. It is important software if you want to surf the net without the annoyance of ads.

Some statistics on NBC streaming usage. No one besides Bolts 100 (which was not restricted to cable subscribers) made the top 10 in most viewed streams.

I doubt that is the problem. I use adblock, Firefox, all the time and have no problems.

Then again maybe you got some other type of adblock created by a spammer.

I am not a puter person.. I don't know nuthin bout nuthin computer wise.. My puter guy put Firefox on my laptop, which I seldom use because I fumble finger the keyboard, and it never gets spam or viruses.
He installed virus scanners and blockers on my PC but eventually they are overcome and he has to cleanse me again... that precipitated my comment that when I started poking around for different links, something kicked off a swarm of spam..
Notably from "Married but Lonely" women.. ..don't know what that has to do with T&F :?
