When London ends, when can I watch the best compete?
Wow!
The Stockholm affair has some interesting entrants....or NON-entrants.
A few examples.
Evan Jager in a FLAT 3K. His best is 7:41, so maybe he'll go 7:30-something.
No Bolt or Blake in the 100.
No Felix in the 200, but Jeneba Tarmoh has the 2nd fastest PR of the entrants.
No Rudisha in the 800.
I feel sorry for those 800 guys.
Anything less than what they did in London will be deemed a failure by the media.
Uceny and Lowe are entered, so both have a chance to save their seasons.
Rupp and Lagat aren't running??
And no Lolo!!

One determinant of appearance at Stockholm is no doubt the length of time since the athlete's last event. Bit tough for Bolt, Blake etc when they had 6-7 races over the week and only finished on the last day. Bit easier for those who were finished after Day 2 or 3...
Another determinant: the big $$ from Zurich...
And one qualifying statement: the bigger the star, the less likely the organisers will be claiming them as a starter until absolutely confirmed (as the star has more confidence of getting a start come what may, and the meet can't announce too many withdrawals while still appeasing ticketholders).
So fields that are currently small may yet top up with medalists... or 'journeymen'
