Bolt trains and does all his work in Jamaica. His gym is the Spartan Health Club in Kingston and his only coach is Glen Mills.

The lengths some writers go to demonize Bolt is just unbelievable. When Michael Johnson and Carl Lewis was on top on the track world, no one questioned them. Now here comes Bolt (non American) and he must be doing something fishy in order to beat us.

Unfortunately others are now running with this story though from what I've seen there is no story. Herredia seems to be heading towards writing a book or selling an interview.

What bothers me about the typical American sports fan, is he/she thinks their professional athlete heroes in the NFL, MLB etc. are clean because they are "tested" but that Olympic athletes are cheats and I've seen a few today talking about this topic. I feel quite sure that the Olympic standards are quite a bit more stringent than those used in pro. leagues.

I am inclined to believe that LetsRun obsession with Block is not too far removed from this completely false association (Bolt <=> Angel H). In the Block case, despite the severity of the 'sentence', the only violation has to do with his wife -- not a single other athlete is involved, to the best of my knowledge. In this case, why would being seen with Block be a red flag, but less one worthy of a campaign by LetsRun.
