  • Banamex Grand Prix Meet in Mexico - help wanted!

The folks at Lynx System Developers (they make the FinishLynx photofinish systems) need help this week-end.

They are load testing a LIVE RESULTS service prior to this summer's major meets in the USA.

As part of this testing procedure they would like as many Track fans as possible to follow the Banamex Grand Prix in Mexico live.

The event will take place at 8:20pm CST time. There is a link to the LIVE SCOREBOARD in the top right hand side of this results page.
    http://grandprix.cyberscoreboard.com

Or you can go here directly during the meet:
    http://www.livecyberscoreboard.com/

If the system hits maximum load - which has been known to happen (!) - the service will simply stop accepting new connections during the meet and you will see the message: \"Sorry, maximum number of connections reached.\"

    All the best,

    Giles

You say the event will take place at 8:20 PM. I doubt that this is true, unless the event consists simply of a sprint or hurdles race. More likely you mean the event (or the coverage by your link) will BEGIN at that hour. That leads one to ask when it is scheduled to end.

I think (hope) that I have this right. Here is the official website, and it says that running events start at 7:20pm local time. I think (hope) that this is 8:20 pm EST.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Latin countries often start events very late, as they typically take a long midday break for a siesta, which in some latin countries lasts as long as four hours or more. It isn't unusual in Central and South America for the final meal of the day to occur at 11 p.m. or later.

If I got the time right it starts in less than half an hour. Please check out the livecyberscoreboard link.

Wow, Elva Gouldbourne 7.16m, was it wind legal, if so would be a huge NR and PR, suspect it was windy though, given that there seems to be a breeze
why don't people pronounce vowels anymore
