Where does it rank all time adjusted for wind?
9.68 for wind but for wind and altitude it's 9.70

What is the equivalent time with a 2.0 wind?

When is next year's Chinese GP meet (where Gay ran 9.69/+2.0 late in 2009), and where?

9.69 with a negative wind is worth more than $40K.

brilliant from Blake. still a respectable solid performance from Tyson Gay. 9.83 for 2nd into a HW and beating the rest of a world class field.

Am not shocked by this. Back in the Oly, Blakes last 5 metres or so was overstriding. Guess maybe that he came under pressure from the rest of the fast closers in the race, a slightly better finish and thats closer to 9.7 or even 9.6. Still wouldn't win, but this kid is stepping.

Was 10.02 a PR for Vicault? Not a bad time.

*edit* and is he the fastest frenchman this year, or did Lemaitre do something i dont remember this season?

Blake now owns the fastest post-championships 100m PB (9,69)(-0,1)[9,70] in history. Gay's 9,69 (+2,0)[9,78] is next, followed by Bolt's best of 9,76 (+1,3)[9,82]. Blake also owns history's fastest post-championships 200m set in Bruxelles last season.

Has it been a dissapointing season for Lemaitre or do you think this is to be expected? An off season now and then? Maybe he needs new coaches? I shouldnt really speculate with my limited knowledge.

The nerve of Birmingham of only wanting to pay the Beast 40G. He more than proved his worth today.
You seem to be confusing two different worths.

There is the worth to the organization putting on the meet. To them, Blake was worth $40,000 when they already had a lot of stars lined up and a sell-out crowd.

There is the worth to Blake himself. He sees himself worth more than $40,000, and won't run for that.

I agree with both of them. I do not think for a second that Blake should accept $40,000 at this stage in his career, but I also don't think the Birmingham meet should be paying him bigger $$ when it doesn't help their financials.

I do not know the particuars of the economics of either the promoter or athlete but I do know, if I were a professional athlete,I would not appear anywhere in the UK for any amount of money under the current tax law as I understand it.
To levy exorbitant taxes on income earned in the UK is one thing. To extend taxes to an athletes worldwide income in indefensible.

If i remember correctly, Bolt gets about 200k to appear at Bislett (Oslo) every year. I would think Blake should be worth more than half of that. His 9.69 and 19.26 dictates high sums.
