  • Ideas to improve www.USATF.org

I've been thinking about this for a long time. I think the site is pretty bland, but with these changes I think it could be a fun site for everyone including non-track fans.

    1)Articles on technique and training.

2)Interviews/in-depth articles about major competitions and the athletes.

3)Track and Field video games on the site (like those from strengthcoach.com)

4)Videos of athletes in action for download.

5)An athlete journal section like www.iaaf.org.

not important. unless they give their actual workouts.. which they wouldn't. 'i feel strong! things are really improving for me and i hope to run a fast time!' ad nauseum.. no thanks..

There are online javelin, hurdles, sprints and 100m games on a number of different internet sites. They can be incredibly addictive and may draw "outsiders" to the site.

As for the journal section, I think people would be very interested in reading journals from their favorite athletes. As a thrower I enjoyed Adam Nelson and Kuji Murofushi's journals on www.iaaf.org

Photos, photos, and more photos. It's a very photo-dry site. They don't have to be taken by pros, but by anybody. Anybody can take good pictures these days, what with digital cameras.
