i have watched some of espn's classic tribute to the munich games. since i was only 18 months during those olympics i have not been able to watch much other than a few documentaries on spitz, the basketball final and the tragedy in the olympic village. it was interesting to see jim mckay do play by play for track and field. he did a decent job. his calls of races were much better than uncle tom's over the last 5 olympics. keith jackson a football commentator did a good job with the swimming races and howard cossell did great interviewers. i am sure some of their comments and delivery would not be acceptable in today's way too sensitive PC world.
i wish espn classic would do the same for the other olympics that were on ABC and nbcsn would have an olympic marathon for the olympics that were on NBC.
