Speaking for the great majority of us: your English is WAY better than our French!

Yeah mate and the trajectory on his throw was mindblowing! He's certainly got the goods to go 23.12m.

              Being patriotic, I'd like 23.16!

His PR improvement is impressive from 72-0.25/21.95i to 73-4/22.35, but how about Hoffa, from 69-1.5/21.07i to 71-1.25/21.67? Just over two feet. Yikes!

OK field event fans...it's only 48 hours since the meet and I'm already thoroughly sick of reading about Webb (I know, I don't have to read the threads. Mainly check them for any interesting meltdowns). How about pushing this thread up the rankings?

He was awesome on Saturday, what a series. My only concern is that it seems like the shot is an event that often comes up with a surprise at the big event and the favorites rarely win. No data to back this up, is it the case or is my memory a bit dodgy?

Also in the field, Trish Waller looked very good. Her last attempt at 2.01 was very close and she had significant hip height over the bar. She'll PR this summer and may get close to the AR. Amy isn't looking so good, as Dwight said she's LJ-ing.

Without actually looking I'd say that historically the shot (men's) has been pretty easy to predict, relatively speaking. That has changed somewhat with the advent of the spin and slippery rings wreaking havoc and with guys developing foul troubles that gliders don't have.
