I am a mother of a high school freshman who is interested in working with a personal field coach. She does well in shot discus and javelin but has a real love of javelin. We live in central NJ Any suggestions?

Re: Seeking experienced personal field coach
I would suggest you contact Sally Harmon, formerly the women's throws coach at the University of Oregon. She is a former national javelin champion, has coached three national champions and 17 all-Americans. She lost her job do to a merger of the men's and women's track programs. If you could find a way to work with her, you could not do better. You could probably still contact her through the University.

Re: Seeking experienced personal field coach
Try contacting Shore A.C.
They are headquarted in West Long Branch. When I was a young thrower (back in the day) I joined during my junior year in high school. The exposure to and interaction with experienced and knowlegable throwers of all ages was great.
They have a website with contact info.
