The best Annual of all is of course the ATFS Athletics 2013, edited by Peter Matthews now out a week ago for me and de rigeur reading from first to last page.

Amen!!
Although for USA info and stats, the USATF/FAST book is tops!!
Especially the bio section up front, and the index section in back.
I find out if people have ever run distances other than their specialty....and their year-by-year progress.

But I buy the ATFS Annual too.....every year.
I'll be ordering mine from Amazon on May 10, when they say it will be available there.
This too offers amazing material!!
A must have for stat freaks like me!!

The 3rd stat book I buy every year is Jack Shepard's HS Track.....which offers just about everything high school....outdoors AND indoors!!

I am a charter member and NAMED it, though I never got any recognition for that (sniff, sniff)!

Not sure how much recognition is due for creating the acronym F.A.S.T., but if you are the one who came up with the group's motto, that is truly impressive!

I'm referring to: "These are the souls who time men's tries."

TAFWA and FAST are now a single organization, Jack Pfeifer is president, and bambam is a (most honorable) member.

I'm an honorary member??? I didn't know that.

Not sure about TAFWA, but I believe he was one of THE founding fathers of FAST. I am a charter member and NAMED it, though I never got any recognition for that (sniff, sniff)!
