No one mentioned in on the board surprisingly and she ran it April 27(over a week ago). Many people on this board were under the impression(me included) that Stephanie Mcpherson 50.43 was the world leading time but it is actually Montsho.

Felix and/or Montsho should clear that up in Doha this Friday!!

I would have thought Felix would have had this sewn up until I found out about Montsho 50.14. Felix has run 49.83 in May and might need to summon something in that territory against Montsho if she wants to maintain her winning streak.

Not sure that Felix has enough racing to take down either Montsho or 50.14. I think that she just has a 11.13 100 and the 4x100 relay from Penn, where she notable did not run the 4x400 (and neither did SRR, who has some foot injury healing still).

The IAAF won't include a performance in their top lists if they don't have access to a copy of the meet's results.
There's no system in place for African results to reach quickly international statisticians and the African Confederation is weak in terms of information (you cannot find results of 2013 CAA meets on their website yet). I have been running the africathle.com website since 2001 - during my free time - to try to give wider access to African results, but I don't have the same energy and time as before, so I haven't been adding many lately.
I was able to find partial results of the Abijdan meet in a Senegalese media on the same day (April 27th), which I shared directly with a few statisticians in my network, including EME News and Tilastopaja that relayed the information quickly. As for a copy of the official results, I only managed to get one today from an athlete who took part to the meet. I forwarded the document to one of the IAAF statisticians as I was not sure whether they already have it or not, so it will likely be updated soon on the IAAF website... or as said above, Felix and/or Montsho will do better in Doha on Friday and that will settle the issue.

Originally posted by Bruce KritzlerWatched the video, and wonder if this track will undergo the same scrutiny as the San Diego track? Obviously some of the cones are small and others placed well inside the lane line.
But, since the race was run entirely in lanes, and Montsho was in lane 4 (??--3? 5?), would the 1st lane configuration matter?
Whereas in the SD 800 race (Actually, ALL the elite races!!), they didn't run in lanes the whole way....but ran mostly in lane 1.
P.S. No matter if it's "legal" or not, Montsho looked GREAT!!
Felix is going to have a race on her hands!!
