Girls' 4A 1600, Friday, May 10, 2013, 11:30 p.m., after a rain delay of more than two and a half hours (about 7:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.). Moist, temperature 64, almost no wind, uncharacteristically ideal (for Austin, in May) for middle-distance or distance running.

2) 4:49.08 Arin Rice, Canyon (SR) > TCU
This is the second year in a row (last year it was the 800) that Rice has broken a 4A state meet record but lost. Rice, however, won this year's 800 earlier Friday. Boreman earlier in the day was 2nd in the 3200.
Boys' 4A long jump, Friday, May 10, 2013, earlier, warmer and windier:
1) 24-00 3/4w (+2.1) Andre Jefferson, Tyler John Tyler (SR) > ?
2) 23-10 1/2w (+2.6) Cameron Burrell, Missouri City Ridge Point (SR) > Houston
Both athletes were off the jumps around 24-06 from the regionals two weekends earlier. Jefferson won the Nike indoor meet in New York City in March.
For results you go to uiltexas.org/athletics. Then under High School Sports tab at the top, pick Track & Field from the dropdown. From there, select State Meet from the upper left. Then select Qualifiers & Results from the upper left. Then go down under Results to the link that reads: View 2013 Track & Field State Meet Results as they are posted. This brings up a HY-TEK page.
