Pity about Jeter's injury....seemed to be clutching her quad as she crossed the line.
My heart is still in the Caribbean....

Jeter was hurt earlier this year. Does not bode well for Moscow.

Pretty classy move with the other athletes including SAFP helping out Jeter after the race. I don't see the men doing that. As far as the race goes, nice finish by Ogakbare, and I don't see anyone beating SAFP in the 100 this year if she stays healthy.

Good run by Fraser Pryce, got out of the blocks well and just kept going .Well done for Okagbare as well and I really hope Jeter is well enough to be in Moscow its a long season and she has time since she is the defending champion

That automatic bye for Jeter was God sent based on how this season has been progressing...

Although, sadly, it might have been an injury that caused Jeter to finish behind SAFP, I couldn't help but wonder what Jamboy was thinking......as he pondered SAFP's win....AND Warren Weir's win over Gatlin!!

She should have never pushed it the way she pushed it today though. Her competitive nature is kinda biting her in the a$$ if you ask me. Where these minor meets are concerned she keeps pushing it albeit too hard at times. She should have just ran within herself instead of going after SAFP. She did it against Gardener earlier this season and last season she did it against VCB.

SAFP though.... wow.... She truly looks to be in a league of her own right now.

That's debatable. SAFP was never tested at any point during that race, no even sightly, she lead from gun to tap, I wouldn't be surprised if she could squeak out a couple tenths if someone was actually within striking distance to her.

Today was a perfect display of how dangerous SAFP is. Last year she didn't have her signature start throughout the yea, but was building on her finishing strength. In this race she got that start and finished stronger than ever. It will be a very challenging year for the other ladies if she remain healthy and continues to execute.

                        :?

You do know she ran 10.95 this year already, after the mishap at Mt Sac. Was she not pushing then?.....

She pushed at Mt Sac and set herself back a bit. That 10.95 in Cayman was easier for her because she simply wasn't pushed or pressed at all in the race. In this race though she had a suspect start (as in Mt. Sacs) and started to really push/surge to beat SAFP.

Shelly may very well complete the double in Moscow.
