So, who else has run 9.95 or better twice in an afternoon? AP did when he set the WR in the heat and came back with a better race (slightly slower time but without wind help). I am sure some of the top sprinters have had a heat/final double, but not too many.

How long between the 2 races did he have ?

I think everyone saw this coming for Vicaut. What is a bit perplexing is LeMaitre, he seems to be regressing.

I really think it might be time for him to start thinking 200/400 instead. He's coming off a 10.04 100m season and isn't looking all that this one.

I just think he needs a new coach.....as ive mention before. Maybe he should try running the 400m next season as its a non championship year

Well, it's a European-champs year, not the half-assed version they ran last year, and they take those quite seriously.

Ever since Lemaitre made a name for himself Im pretty sure it's been all about him in France. If you asked random people in France if they could name any other french sprinter they'd probably say NO. That final was definitely a performance breakthrough so yeah in that sense he's a "new star"
