  • Kenya's team for Moscow

    Am I missing something?
Why didn't Faith Kipyegon try for the team in the 1500?
    Or did she try.....and fail??

In all the articles/tweets, etc, there's no mention of her....either making or not making the team!!

Glad to see PK Koech in the SC......even if he was assured as the '12 DL winner!!

She won the 1500 at the Trials and presumably will be on the team.

      My error.
The article I read gave her name as Faith Chepngetich........not Kipyegon!!
Chepngetich is, I guess, her middle name.
I know her by Kipyegon, not the other name.
I guess Kenyans use different parts of their name to call themselves by.

Kenyan names, of course, sometimes switch around, making it difficult to determine who's who and look them up on Tilastopaja.

Can't wait to find out whom Ethiopia will be sending to battle this strong Kenyan contingent.
        Cheers,

          Re: Kenya's team for Moscow

Thanks, Alan, for the complete list!!
Also for your line about Kenyan names.
That's the mistake I made earlier with regards to Kipyegon.
I'd seen her name before with the Chepngetich, but it ALSO had Kipyegon.
Seeing Chepngetich separately (after Faith) was what fooled me!!
