Say no more. Viewers of The Daily Show are well versed in his risible inanities. You've got to wonder about South Carolians (says the guy from Florida, which, after last week, is the laughing stock of America).

Lindsey Graham was only 24 and plowing through law school when we announced our boycott of the 1980 Games. Perhaps he can be excused for not knowing that history of futile actions.

The US Congress has an all-time low 10% approval rating. No jobs bills, cut old folks medicare, take food stamps from the poor, appose anything Obama says, etc. Outside of crazy South Carolina no one listens to anything this closeted far rightwing Warmongering fool says.

              You are sublimely charitable.

If boycotting the Sochi Olympics led to the undoing of the IOC, I would quickly endorse it.

My personal view is that we should not mix politics with sports because the only one who loses, is the athlete who has been working hard for years trying to do well in the WC.
On the other hand I am amazed that Americans don't look at Edward Snowden as the real hero he is. That just shows me the power of propaganda.
Edward Snowden has shown us how far governments (specially the US government) are willing to do in order to undermine the right of the general public to privacy.
He will get my vote for the next Nobel peace prize.

It's only our government that dispises Edward Snowden. If you are a cockroach why wouldn't you hate the light.

                        Boo!!!!
Even though I am one of those right-wing crazies, I am frequently at odds with Lindsay Graham and this is his oddest/craziest idea of all.

It is because they are afraid of being stepped on. If Snowden would come out of hiding he would be seized by the US government and get the death penalty right away that is pretty certain. Snowden knows that for a fact.

Or have we been bamboozled by Snowden?

                            http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/07/06 ... d-snowden/

"Through this whole business, I’ve remained of two minds about Snowden’s tale. While I am certain that what he has reported is true, I’m unsure of motivation. With what I have just read, though, I think I’m getting a clearer picture. One I will try to paint for you."

"Snowden used to post on a website called Ars Technica: it’s a site for professional techies (“alpha geeks” is what the site says). He frequented the Internet Relay Chat rooms quite a lot, shooting the breeze with whoever happened by. This began when he was stationed in Geneva in 2007: an IT guy for the CIA in a foreign land, he probably enjoyed this little bit of home. His posts – under user name TheTrueHOOHA – from that time show someone who is decidedly unworldly: he complained about almost everything in Switzerland, from the price of food to the women. Over the years, he changed from an insulated, opinionated American into an opinionated, snarky ex-pat. One of the biggest changes in his opinions is what he thought of leakers. Back then, he was not a fan."

Re: Graham: US should consider Olympic boycott over possible

"I love the Olympics, but I hate what the Russian government is doing throughout the world," Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told NBC News on Tuesday. "If they give asylum to a person who I believe has committed treason against the United States, that's taking it to a new level."
While I have no respect for Putin and his government it is an interesting take by Graham given Guantanamo Bay, the guaranteed absolute certainty of WMDs in Iraq, the missile bombing of the Chinese Embassy, the Kim Dotcom debacle here in New Zealand and so on.

Thank goodness that the idiots of SC who put this man in the Senate don't get to run the US Government.

If the US boycotted the Winter Olympics no one would care except the poor bastards who don't get to go. On the positive for the Lolo haters that means there will be less of her in the media. Personally, I am hoping Lolo will take up beach volleyball.
