Here's the one's I think are possible (not including the events I don't know well enough have an opinion):

      800 1:43.06 (even without Rudisha there's a number of 1:42 guys)
110H 12.91 (if Merritt gets back to full form)
High Jump 2.40 (two guys at/over this height already this year)

100 10.70 (if SAFP gets a good start and is pushed to the line)
      200 21.74
      4x100 41.47

Eaton is not good for 8903? Yes, it is tough to put them all together at the same time, but the sum of his PRs has now gone up by several hundred, so if the speed is there... Better in the throws and better in the verticals? 400 and 110h? vis a vis Eugene 2012.

I'm more concerned with his health than his ability.

              Re: WC Meet records

With a $100k inducement for a WR , I suspect he'll take out the 8902 WC record and his 9039 WR at this meet. His throw improvement since the WR will do the trick.

(I wonder if he'll use the 1500 to run just fast enough to break the record several times over the upcoming years, much the way Babka pushed the PV record an inch at a time).

It was 89 (32C) in Moscow yesterday. That's not exactly Northwest-dude optimal conditions.

Ill do the light lifting and say that the above are not changing in Moscow. Courage.

While the 800m time does looks a tad soft I would be afraid to predict anything regarding an 800m race.

I can see AM going sub-12.90 and LaV is a threat to jump really high.

I hope you are right on that one, LaV is one of the most exciting athletes I have seen in ages. How that little fellow does what he does defies the laws of physics.

                        Re: WC Meet records

Apart from the men's high jump, no one this season has shown to be remotely close to any world records, Male or female; therefore, any talk of world record then outside the afore mentioned men's High jump is a classic case of Mid-Summer Hallucination.

Eaton is competing in Estonia this weekend (together with Behrenbruch), after that it should be easier to make predictions regarding his fitness/health. Hardee is also competing in Germany this weekend, he is currently preparing for Moscow with Kai Kazmirek.

This thread is expressly about Meet Records, of which some are indeed in jeopardy.

If Rudisha was running, I'd say men's 800 for sure. Now, I give it 50/50.

Women's 3000 WC MR looks safe.
